ABSTRACTION TAKEN FORM

Wprkshop for 14-18 year-olds

Why was the fourth-floor auditorium of the Budapest Puppet Theater named Ország Lili Studio? In the interactive class session, the interweaving of Hungarian visual arts and puppet theater will be in the spotlight, and in the meantime, the students will not only get to know the painters starting from the European School and the period of the 1950s and 1960s, but also the selection made from the 22,000-piece puppet collection, archival posters, and at the same time the The behind-the-scenes of “seven floors” of workshop work is also revealed. Puppets are not an age group, but a genre.

Organized on the occasion of the Budapest 150 series of events, ALL DOLLS! The exhibition provides insight into the 74-year history of the Budapest Puppet Theatre. The exhibition also undertakes a kind of historical overview, presenting puppets and designers from different eras, and visitors also have the opportunity to follow the birth of a puppet show from the design table to the stage.
