ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE

Workshop for 7-11 year-olds

What are the insides of the dolls like? How can Pipp and Polli move? How many workshops did Findusz’s puppet go to before going on stage? Budapest Puppet Theater’s ALL IS PUPPET! exhibition, a puppet sewing, lighting, mechanical workshop, and painting workshops reveal their secrets, and in a shadow play corner, children can try their hand at being a puppeteer or director.

Organized on the occasion of the Budapest 150 event series, the exhibition also embarks on a kind of time travel, presenting puppets and designers from different eras, among whom renowned painters also worked. In addition to viewing the puppets, photos, and posters, children can gain an insight into the world behind the velvet curtain, following the birth of puppet shows from the design table to the stage.

Competences that can be developed: creativity, self-expression, aesthetic competence, spatial orientation, dramatization, ability to work in a team, visual and linguistic self-expression
