Our exhibition entitled PATTERNS places embroidery in contemporary works of art in the main role – presenting the works of 14 contemporary artists embroidered or evoking the technique and visuality of embroidery. On Thursday, August 25, starting at 5 p.m., we will organize an accompanying program related to the exhibition, where we will invite interested parties to a joint discussion and creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the exhibition guided by curator Zs\u00f3fia KISS-V\u00c1NYA, \u00c1gnes Eszter SZAB\u00d3 introduces us to the cultural and historical aspects of embroidery. After that, we will get to know Zsanett SZIRMAY’s cross-genre Soundweaving project more closely – and those present can independently design their own creative melodies made from embroidery, which we will play with a special player. We close the event with a joint creation: together we leave a message on Eszter \u00c1gnes SZAB\u00d3’s 12 m\u00b2 billboard, which is made with community embroidery and is constantly expanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
