On the occasion of the inscription of the Town of Bansk\u00e1 \u0160tiavnica and technical sites of its vicinity on the UNESCO World Heritage List, our municipality started to organise a\u00a0youthful creativity event. Following the success of the contest for grade school students that marked the\u00a0twenty-third anniversary, we have decided to hold the\u00a0twenty-fourth contest. School children are invited to participate by using their creativity to represent either their own World Heritage City or any World Heritage City around the globe.<\/p>\n
To participate, the following conditions should be met:<\/strong><\/p>\n – entries should be submitted in one of three categories \u2013\u00a0ages up to 9, 10 \u2013 12 and 13 \u2013 15; In June 2018, based on the entries received, we will inaugurate an exhibit entitled \u201cWorld Heritage \u2013 A\u00a0Youthful Vision 2018\u201d where three of the best entries in each category will be awarded. After Bansk\u00e1 \u0160tiavnica, the exhibit will then travel throughout the OWHC network.<\/p>\n Deadline of the\u00a0contest:<\/strong>
– drawings, paintings, water colours, monotypes, linocuts, intarsias, collages and the like should be submitted in standard\u00a010 x 14 cm postcard format mailed preferably in an envelope\u00a0(for the entire school) and marked with the catchword \u201cVision 2018\u201d;
– artwork should completely cover the front of the postcard with the back reserved for the\u00a0full name of the participant, his\/her age and complete return address of the school\u00a0(in block letters);
– history, impressions, artifacts, daily life, inhabitants, even the future, are\u00a0all themes\u00a0that are suggested to inspire the creative efforts of all participants;
– individual students may submit\u00a0as many as three\u00a0different entries which are expected to be received not later than\u00a030th\u00a0April 2018 to the address:<\/strong>
