Squaring the Circle IV.

Handbook for the museum education programs of the Deák17 Youth Art Gallery in 2021/2022/2023

“One of the aims of culture is to actively preserve the values it creates. This is the role that carved objects, museum education sessions, and, though indirectly, computer storage disks also play. Let‘s look at it in another way: the intellectual and material means of conservation are also tools of culture creation and therefore things to be protected. Books are one of the most traditional ways of preserving and carrying culture. In order to remain so, the commitment of Generation Y, Z and Alpha is needed.
The fourth volume of the Squaring the Circle series will hopefully speak not only to a professional audience, but also to the younger generations mentioned above, as the language, style and imagery of the book may appeal to interested secondary school students, who themselves are also agents of the story it tells.”
(LÁSZLÓ HEMRIK Museum Educator, Ludwig Museum – Head of Museum Education)

We recommend our book to all those primary and high school teachers, who would like to enrich their daily classes with various creative methods or discover new methods of organizing knowledge. We hope that not only teachers working in art education and children with special educational needs will find it useful, but also parents and grandparents who would like to make the time spent with their children more colorful. We recommend the book for teachers, educators, parents and visual culture researchers.
