Dear Children Around the World,
Sunshine, ocean shores, blue tiles, and the charming trams of Lisbon – at the very beginning of spring it feels especially delightful to immerse ourselves in the Portuguese atmosphere. Portuguese sailors were once among the world’s great explorers; now it is our turn to set out on a journey and discover this remarkable country, rich in culture and blessed with breathtaking landscapes.
Do you know how the rooster became one of Portugal’s national symbols? Where, and by how many people around the world is the language of this small country, almost the same size as Hungary, spoken today? What does the famous Pastel de Nata taste like?
Many exciting questions await us. As always, you will not only hear the answers: staying true to our traditions, we will explore the country through play and creative crafts – and we will even quite literally taste a bit of Portuguese culture.
