Dear Children Around the World,
In April, we will “travel” to Japan and prepare together for Japan’s Children’s Day, celebrated in early May. This time, the Japanese language will also take center stage: we will listen to an engaging Japanese-language presentation with interpretation, and we will learn a Japanese song with the assistance of the colleagues of the Japan Foundation in Budapest.
Although the cherry blossoms have already faded, this Far Eastern country still holds countless wonders and discoveries for us. We will encounter the distinctive koinobori – colorful carp-shaped windsocks made for Children’s Day – learn about their symbolism, and even create our own together!
