Dear Children Around the World!
After the summer break, we look forward to welcoming you back to our gallery to begin this year’s adventures together! From the still very warm summer, we will now visit cooler climes: Scandinavia, and specifically Sweden. Did you know that Sweden is the third largest country in the European Union? And that there is a part of the country where the sun never sets in summer? This time, we will also look for answers to what has changed in this beautiful, nature-loving country since the days of Nils Holgersson and Pippi Longstocking. What is it like to be a child in Sweden today, and how does the Swedish school system differ from the Hungarian one? The staff and students of the Swedish School in Budapest will help us answer these and similar questions. They are preparing not only a presentation about their country, but also a fun interactive program to make our joint discovery even more exciting.
Programme:
from 9:30 – Arrival, registration, creative activities
10:00-10:20 – Interactive presentation about Sweden
10:20-10:40 – Swedish games and poems for kids
10:50-12:30 – Handicraft activities related to Sweden
The event will be streamed online on our Facebook page, and video footage and photos will be taken and posted on the Gallery’s and the partner institution’s website and other social media platforms. By participating in the programme, you agree that recordings may be made and used.
