Where Are We?

The Gallery is situated in the heart of Budapest in 5 minute walking distance from the Deák Ferenc Square.

Getting to the Gallery by public transport:

  • Underground: 1, 2, 3
  • Tram: 2, 47, 49
  • Bus: 9, 15, 16, 105, 115

Parking places are avaiable in the Erzsébet Parking Garage.

Plan Your Visit

The Gallery is on the first floor of a residential building (there is also a mezzanine), you have to press the bell 7 on the intercom and you will be let in. The stairs are opposite the entrance, while the elevator is located in the corridor to the left of the entrance, after the mailboxes, but before the courtyard.

The Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday during the school months (September to June) from 10 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm.

During the summer holidays (June to August), the Gallery is only open on weekdays, from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.

The Gallery is closed on Sundays.

Yes! Visiting the gallery, participating in our programs, and most of our publications are completely free. However, some of our programs and sessions require prior registration. We always indicate this at the event.

If you are planning a group visit (more than 8 people), please let us know when you would like to come and how many people you would like to come with! Send an email to info@deak17galeria.hu or call us at +36 1 796 2998 no later than 6 pm the day before the visit.

We offer our museum education sessions for school groups, which you can read more about on our website. Advance registration for the sessions is required at muzeumpedagogia@deak17galeria.hu.

Yes! The Gallery is easily accessible with a non-electric wheelchair or stroller. There is an elevator in the building, so it is not necessary to climb stairs to get to the Gallery. The Gallery also has an accessible toilet. The Gallery spaces are also safe for children.

Guide dogs and well-behaved small and medium-sized dogs are welcome in the exhibition spaces.

Transportation equipment (e.g. children’s bicycles, scooters, small motorbikes, roller skates, skateboards, etc.) may be brought in if the equipment can be stored in the cloakroom. Bicycles are not permitted in the Gallery. Strollers are allowed, but please leave them in the cloakroom.

Unfortunately, there is no street parking in the area. The closest parking option to the Gallery is the underground garage on Erzsébet tér.
